Good story with a sort of a friends to lovers/second chances vibe. I will say I think there was more potential to make the characters and plot points connect to the reader. There were certain elements that I knew were introduced and important to the main characters that I found hard to care about because it didn't feel like there was enough depth and exploration to have me as a reader truly invested in it, so some of it fell flat for me. Yani saying Darnell, for example. Very cute introduction but their interactions came up as such an after thought so when he did pop back up, that plot point didn't intrigue me bc I saw what was going to happen. Overall, this story was an enjoyable read.
